Adopt a Shark with Oceans Research

OCEANS Research's "Adopt A White Shark" program provides an easy and effective way to support the work of OCEANS research, and gain an intimate view into the life of your adopted shark. For your adoption, OCEANS will give you the chance of choosing the official name for a great white shark. You will then be sent with photos and info about that shark.

Indeed, during our research to study the South African white shark population, individual sharks are recorded by body features (estimated size, sex, pigmentation, and scars); these descriptions are supported by digital photos to photo identify and catalogue the different white sharks.
