Oceans Research is the trading name for the South African Marine Predator Lab (SAMPLA). SAMPLA is registered as a close corporation in South Africa. Registration number 2007/232832/23 in South Africa. SAMPLA is trading as OCEANS RESEARCH (as from January 2009) and conducting business as a private sector research institute.

Research entity

All our research conducted on great white sharks is done so under permit permission from the department of environmental affairs and tourism, South Africa.

All Oceans Research in South Africa has gone through review at University of Pretoria, Rhodes University, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, or the South African Institute of Aquatic Biology.

All our research in Mozambique will be conducted in accordance with the signed MoU with Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique.
