Ponta Mamoli

Our project is situated within the idyllic surroundings of the Ponta Region, along the Southern Coast of Mozambique.

Founded in July 2009, the facility is proving remarkably popular for visiting scientists, graduate students and interns due to the unique SCUBA diving opportunities with marine predators such as the bull shark, black tip shark and tiger shark. The marine environment is sub-tropical, with the continental shelf being home to a diversity of reef fish, pelagic species and the larger marine predators being attracted to the warm waters.

Oceans Research will only conduct research projects with permit approval from The Minister of Tourism - National Directorate of Conservation Areas.
